BMI Costa Rica reaffirmed its leadership in the local market with a key event entitled “Support, Commitment and Evolution”, which was created to strengthen the relationship with our agents, brokers and strategic allies.
This event featured international executives who shared their vision for the company's future and their commitment to service excellence.

An impactful event for BMI and its partners
The meeting was a milestone for our organization, highlighting the participation of key figures leading BMI's global strategy, including:
- Manuel Trujillo, Senior Vice President & Head of LATAM Insurance
- Joe Schneider, Chief Strategy Officer and SVP of Global Operations
- María Teresa Beltrán, Corporate Director of Human Talent
- Carmelo Stanco, Corporate VP, Internal Auditing
During their speeches, the executives highlighted BMI's financial strength, backed by more than 50 years of experience and assets exceeding 1.6 billion of dollars.
In addition, the recent ratification of our rating was highlighted. A- (Excellent) by AM Best, which supports the stability and confidence we offer our clients both in Costa Rica and worldwide.

Presentation of the new General Manager of BMI Costa Rica
One of the most anticipated moments was the announcement of Javier Solís as the new General Manager of BMI Costa Rica. With more than 10 years of experience at the company, Javier has been a key pillar of BMI's growth in the country.
In his speech, Javier shared some very relevant figures on the evolution of BMI Costa Rica:
- Continued growth in billed premiums since 2020, with an increase of more than 60% in 2024, reaching a turnover of more than $51 million, which represents an increase of $19 million compared to 2023.
- Significant increase in the payment of claims and compensation, with $20 million disbursed in the last year, which is equivalent to an increase of more than 43% compared to the previous year.
- He also reaffirmed BMI's commitment to innovation, process automation, human talent development, and continuous improvement in products and services.
Recognition of the best producers of 2024 and new incentives

At BMI, we deeply value the work of our intermediaries. During the event, we were honored to recognize the 2024 Outstanding Producers, whose work has been essential to the company's growth. New incentives for 2025 were also announced, including:
- Convention in Berlin 2026: an exclusive recognition for the best producers.
- Sales Seminar in Colombia 2025: a unique opportunity to train and improve business strategies.
In his speech, Manuel Trujillo highlighted the importance of Costa Rica within BMI in Latin America, highlighting that our country occupies the second place in participation within the group, surpassed only by Ecuador.
“We count on each and every one of you to continue making BMI a stronger company in the Costa Rican market,” Trujillo said, highlighting the crucial role of intermediaries and the close corporate relationship they play in ensuring the continued success of our operations in Costa Rica.
